This wedding was such a blast just two weekends ago at The Westin Hotel located at The Domain. Jackie and Ben have been together almost a decade, y’all…there was some serious love in the air. Their day was packed with photo ops…from their Ketubah signing prior to their Jewish ceremony to the Hora dance at their reception! Both Ben and Jackie come from strong jewish family roots and I really appreciated all of the history and tradition. The Ketubah signing was such personal experience and with the whole room gathered around the table, it was the first time I didn’t feel intrusive being that close to the bride and groom!

The hotel suite had amazing light that filled the room that Jackie was getting ready, making her getting pre ceremony photos effortless. Jackie had the perfect shoes for her wedding day, ha! I love a little unexpected flair, and her wedge converse sneakers (embroidered with their wedding date!) was the perfect touch of modern and “something blue.”Jackie and Ben chose to do a first look, but without a courtyard, we chose to capture them inside near the hotel restaurant in front of some beautiful glass doors. We chose this area to do their group shots because the lighting was warm and beautiful and it kept everyone out of the Texas heat! Their two ceremonies followed, and boy was I happy we chose to do the family photos prior because their guests were ready to PARTY! Sugar Mamas Cupcake made the night super sweet and Exquisite Florals did an amazing job decorating the tables. They had an excellent band, Memphis Train, and they really knew how to get everyone on the dance floor and the night was just spectacular!

Ahh! We are so happy to finally be getting to share some amazing weddings from this past summer! We had such an amazing time in Thailand and Azores, Portugal and feel rejuvenated and ready to begin shooting the upcoming fall wedding season. Travis did a killer job vloging our life and travels for the past month, and you can check them out here.

Maria & Raul were SO so amazing to work with and they had so many personal touches that warmed my heart throughout the day. Now, it’s no secret that one of my favorite parts of a wedding day is capturing details. So much time, effort (and lets be honest, money) goes into the little things that may go unnoticed. Maria brought so many wonderful things to capture…like her dads love letter to her mother asking her to marry him. The boutonniere  he wore to their senior prom. The bible her mother walked down the isle with. Their AMAZING wedding invitations (that I didn’t quite share due to their mailing address).

Upon walking into church, you couldn’t help but stare in awe of the floral cross that adorned the stage. It was so timeless and beautiful! Their ceremony was unique, with some songs sung by Raul’s sister and a unity cross ceremony (which I snagged for their ring shots later!). We hopped onto the party bus to Austin’s very own Alamo Draft House! We took photos in the very theatre that Raul had rented out to propose to Maria. The staff at the theater were awesome and accommodating and I’m still drooling over Travis’ shot in the porthole door. Unfortunately time wouldn’t allow our original plans to travel to a park for more portraits, so we made do with the parking lot shrubs and trees…and they were actually a really beautiful alternative! I don’t think its too obvious we are actually in the middle of a shopping center, ha!

Their reception at The Austin Club was nothing short of fantastic. The decor was so romantic and warm, it was the perfect fit for these two. They entered into the reception with a mariachi band (yes!) and the dinner was hands down the best of the summer! We took some photos by the capital (how could we not?) and it was the cherry on top to a perfect day!

Check out Maria & Raul’s recap of their special day below:

We shot a beautiful wedding yesterday at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, TX! Y’all, their centerpieces were suspended from beams, hanging above their tables! It was such a delightful twist to the reception area. Here is just a tiny sneak peak of their beautiful day:

Beautiful, right?! These two were so much fun….But what this post is REALLY about is Rachel’s bridal session that took place in downtown Austin, TX last month. Travis covered this windy session and also captured it via vlog (his new obsession if you can’t tell!). We love people getting to see what really goes behind the scenes of our passion and it’s fun for potential clients to see how we work, so make sure to watch the video of this session too (included is a cameo from our impatient daughter, Amelia hah!)

Can you believe it’s July?! I am still drooling over this June wedding we photographed at Hummingbird House in Austin, TX just a few weeks ago. There were so many special elements that went into this day and I adored all the sunflowers that decorated the reception, Wow Factor Design made the room look summer-time-effortless.  The pre-ceremony festivities took place at the venue which makes it easy for everyone and also allows us to capture the special moments Aaron and Stephanie wanted, like when they prayed together on either side of a door right before the ceremony. I think everyone can agree that Stephanie has this timeless look about her, and Aly with Flair Style Lounge did a great job at enhancing her natural beauty (and those GORGEOUS red locks!)

Stephanie had the most detailed custom rose-gold (swoon!) engagement ring and the groom had a special engraved band that matched. Her parents wedding rings were tied around her bouquet and I also photographed their rings on Stephanies fathers bible, matching the bible verse that she had delicately tattooed on her shoulder.

This couples faith and love filled the rooms they were in, and their ceremony included a lot of firsts for us. Stephanie and Aaron chose to wash each others feet during their Christian ceremony and it was breathtaking and unique! It is no surprise these two met serving the Lord on a mission trip together.

Their bridal party was so much fun and the guys had so much fun posing…they came up with the post ceremony posing you see below and I loved how lighthearted they were. The girls brought chalkboard signs saying how they met the bride but not shown…the guys posing and playing with them as well, ha!

Pearl Snap Cuisine had the most amazing exotic fruit & cheese platter that greeted the guests to the reception. This amazing catering company also provided an excellent dinner and fabulous s’mores bar for dessert. Having sweet treats along with cake has been such a trend for 2016…who can complain with variety?

These two and their guests DANCED the night away thanks to Jaime with Live Oak DJ, and were sent off into the night by sparklers….

Lauren and Enrique are getting married in Guatemala where he is from but they really wanted to showcase their new city ( they both recently moved here from Houston ). Not only were they so much fun to hang out with but their love shown through so easily on camera! We started our session at the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge downtown and moved to Zilker Park. The shoot ended where they got engaged, The Driskill downtown! After a few drinks we started out on our amazing shoot and I couldn’t be happier with the turnout. We even filmed the session so others can see how enjoyable these engagement shoots can be. I hope you like these as much as I did making them.
