Guys! This wedding had it all…the killer rental house for pre-wedding festivities, a romantic venue in the heart of downtown Austin, TX, plenty of twinkle lights, the best food we’ve eaten in ages (thanks, Royal Fig!) and live entertainment…allanhouse_0053

This wedding took place at The Allan House in Austin, TX. The venue itself is an old historical charming home complete with wrap around porches smack dab in the middle of a concrete jungle. This truly is a hidden gem, and it was built in 1883! The century old oak trees all over the property are decorated in twinkle lights that really set the romantic tone for the evening. Their altar area was covered in drift wood and garden flowers and the whole theme was so organic. It looked as it the arrangements had been picked from a garden just moments before, and the head table was breathtaking. Park Crest Floral Design did a killer job making the arrangement that adorned all the tables, and Whitney’s bouquet was perfect for the crisp fall night. They danced to “Stand By Me” and their live band, Strings Attached, was a hit at the reception…swoon!

Whitney and Lane were so easy to photograph and had such an ease with one another. They were such a charming couple and their day was equally so:

This stunning duo tied the knot just a few weeks ago at the beautiful venue, Camp Lucy!

Breck is so beautiful and her piercing blue eyes matched the clear blue sky (seriously, they are UNREAL!) and her dress matched her romantic look perfectly. They had so many unique touches to their day, starting with getting ready in a mobile hair and make up salon! FlAir Style Lounge was such an awesome experience to have onsite and did an amazing job on the bridal squad. These two were so loved, and with twenty one (YES! 21!) people in their wedding party, the day was never boring. In fact, these groomsmen were by far the most willing group we’ve had in a long time…always down to pose and made the day so easy and lighthearted. Breck and Chase married overlooking the hill country, and it was absolutely beautiful.

We are STILL talking about the amazing band that entertained all the guests: Uptown Drive. If you are looking for some killer entertainment for your special event, look into these guys! During their reception we snagged the couple away and took some photos in one Camp Lucy’s many quaint rustic structures. Y’all, we have the best clients, and these two were perfect to prepare us for the fall season! The day couldn’t have been successful without these incredible vendors, so check out their links!

Who doesn’t love the beach! The sound of the ocean, the cool breeze and the sand between your feet, the beach is not only the perfect spot to relax but also an amazing spot for an engagement session. Trisha & Michael love the ocean and wanted to incorporate that love for water into their engagements so off to Port Aransas we went. I have never actually been to Port Aransas but I hear all about it living in Austin ( everyone loves the gulf coast for spring break ). It was such a beautiful place! Normally driving 4 hours anywhere in Texas is rather boring since there are not many hills, mountains, valleys, or really scenery for that matter. Most of Texas is flat land for grazing cows and a few half dead trees. But the driving the coast is much prettier and with the amazing weather we have had recently it was a perfect time to let the windows down, listen to some music and do a Vlog. So with out further ado, here is their incredible session and video to go along with!

This wedding was such a blast just two weekends ago at The Westin Hotel located at The Domain. Jackie and Ben have been together almost a decade, y’all…there was some serious love in the air. Their day was packed with photo ops…from their Ketubah signing prior to their Jewish ceremony to the Hora dance at their reception! Both Ben and Jackie come from strong jewish family roots and I really appreciated all of the history and tradition. The Ketubah signing was such personal experience and with the whole room gathered around the table, it was the first time I didn’t feel intrusive being that close to the bride and groom!

The hotel suite had amazing light that filled the room that Jackie was getting ready, making her getting pre ceremony photos effortless. Jackie had the perfect shoes for her wedding day, ha! I love a little unexpected flair, and her wedge converse sneakers (embroidered with their wedding date!) was the perfect touch of modern and “something blue.”Jackie and Ben chose to do a first look, but without a courtyard, we chose to capture them inside near the hotel restaurant in front of some beautiful glass doors. We chose this area to do their group shots because the lighting was warm and beautiful and it kept everyone out of the Texas heat! Their two ceremonies followed, and boy was I happy we chose to do the family photos prior because their guests were ready to PARTY! Sugar Mamas Cupcake made the night super sweet and Exquisite Florals did an amazing job decorating the tables. They had an excellent band, Memphis Train, and they really knew how to get everyone on the dance floor and the night was just spectacular!

Ahh! We are so happy to finally be getting to share some amazing weddings from this past summer! We had such an amazing time in Thailand and Azores, Portugal and feel rejuvenated and ready to begin shooting the upcoming fall wedding season. Travis did a killer job vloging our life and travels for the past month, and you can check them out here.

Maria & Raul were SO so amazing to work with and they had so many personal touches that warmed my heart throughout the day. Now, it’s no secret that one of my favorite parts of a wedding day is capturing details. So much time, effort (and lets be honest, money) goes into the little things that may go unnoticed. Maria brought so many wonderful things to capture…like her dads love letter to her mother asking her to marry him. The boutonniere  he wore to their senior prom. The bible her mother walked down the isle with. Their AMAZING wedding invitations (that I didn’t quite share due to their mailing address).

Upon walking into church, you couldn’t help but stare in awe of the floral cross that adorned the stage. It was so timeless and beautiful! Their ceremony was unique, with some songs sung by Raul’s sister and a unity cross ceremony (which I snagged for their ring shots later!). We hopped onto the party bus to Austin’s very own Alamo Draft House! We took photos in the very theatre that Raul had rented out to propose to Maria. The staff at the theater were awesome and accommodating and I’m still drooling over Travis’ shot in the porthole door. Unfortunately time wouldn’t allow our original plans to travel to a park for more portraits, so we made do with the parking lot shrubs and trees…and they were actually a really beautiful alternative! I don’t think its too obvious we are actually in the middle of a shopping center, ha!

Their reception at The Austin Club was nothing short of fantastic. The decor was so romantic and warm, it was the perfect fit for these two. They entered into the reception with a mariachi band (yes!) and the dinner was hands down the best of the summer! We took some photos by the capital (how could we not?) and it was the cherry on top to a perfect day!

Check out Maria & Raul’s recap of their special day below:
