Bull Creek Engagement Session |Sammy & Cole|

Bull Creek Engagement Session |Sammy & Cole|

Sammy and Cole are getting hitched this December at one of our favorite venues, Pecan Springs Ranch! First comes love, then comes….an engagement session! This one took place at Bull Creek area in Austin, TX. This area is so diverse as you can see. Picking a location with a few different “scenes” can bring a lot more variety to your gallery than just swapping outfits. I loved using the water towards the end of the shoot, and this couple didn’t mind getting their toes wet (and a dirty) for a good photo. Can’t wait to see these two say their “I Do’s!” Four months and counting…

The Homestead at Old Potato Road |Julianna & Steven|

This wedding was a DREAM. It was our first time shooting at this rad venue and we are counting down the days until we return! Julianna and Steven were such a blast, her epic dress describes her personality (and wedding day!) perfectly: romantic, whimsical and unique. Julianna’s parents were hysterical (check out her dads photo-bomb and her mom putting on her dress,ha) and all of their guests partied the night away like champs. Check out this beautiful wedding below!

Currently editing from the beach, where it’s a solid 30 degrees cooler than back home, however far warmer than M&B’s wedding day. They planned for a warm spring day, and it absolutely was both the day before and after, but a cold front swept through the night before. The best part? YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW. Megan didn’t sweat it and her ladies braved the weather with no complaints. Megan was a shining star, I seriously told her how beautiful she was a jillion times, and by the end of the day, I meant it both inside and out. Broderick’s group were so much fun and I even passed the camera to a groomsman at the end of the reception where he surprisingly got some great (in focus, even!) photographs. Megan’s sister gave an amazing speech among the blue goblets and everyone PARTIED the night away! Take a peek at their special day, below:

Oh, boy! EVERY time we are at Barr Mansion, its so photographically perfect, and Rachel & Alex’s wedding day was no different. The flowers were in full bloom on the property and it complimented their color pallet so perfectly. I was equally obsessed with Rachel’s grandmother, she was so precious and fun to photograph. The bridal suite provides the perfect light for pre-ceremony photos and we opted for their first look on the epic wrap around porch. Having the duo see each other prior to the ceremony gave us so much time to do their wedding party photos so it didn’t soak up more reception time, also making their wedding portraits timed perfectly for the golden hour! Lana & Jake |an Austin, TX Engagement Session|

Lana & Jake |an Austin, TX Engagement Session|

My goodness! Lana and Jake were the perfect distraction on this particular day in the Tank home. The morning of this session, Travis had a little (honestly, an ambulance was involved…not so little) episode where he learned allllllll about the seriousness of dehydration (lets be honest, I thought this was something that affected celebrities, ha!). A few weeks prior, Travis photographed a wedding with what we thought was the flu, however we learned at the hospital that he was actually suffering from a bad case of mono, which was a complete blessing considering I thought he was having a seizure/stroke/heart attack just hours before. WHY AM I EVEN TELLING YOU THIS? To shed some light on how important our clients are to us, the first words out of his mouth to the specialist at the E.R. was “I have a shoot in four hours, I need to get home.” and then the conversation between us went something similar…like “Nina, email Lana right now and tell her it will be you photographing.” “TRAVIS, I AM NOT LEAVING YOU LIKE THIS.” “Yes you are.”

So there I was, having one long continuous panic attack, with the two most patient and kind clients one could as for. We strolled about this park in central Austin (LOVED this location, neither of us had been there before!) and they truly were such a perfect ending to one of the scariest days of my life. All in all, Travis is healthy, I survived and these two slayed their engagement session and were so easy to photograph.
