Rachel, Downtown Austin, TX|A Bridal Session|

We shot a beautiful wedding yesterday at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, TX! Y’all, their centerpieces were suspended from beams, hanging above their tables! It was such a delightful twist to the reception area. Here is just a tiny sneak peak of their beautiful day:

Beautiful, right?! These two were so much fun….But what this post is REALLY about is Rachel’s bridal session that took place in downtown Austin, TX last month. Travis covered this windy session and also captured it via vlog (his new obsession if you can’t tell!). We love people getting to see what really goes behind the scenes of our passion and it’s fun for potential clients to see how we work, so make sure to watch the video of this session too (included is a cameo from our impatient daughter, Amelia hah!)

Check it out below:

Going over this wedding to put together this blog had me melting all over again!

This romantic wedding took place at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, TX! We just adore this wedding venue…not only does it make for the perfect wedding day setting, it’s also a killer backdrop for bridal sessions (see HERE). The rustic doors are my to-to when shooting details, but I think it’s safe to say that these AMAZING flowers speak for themselves…
This was the most epic bouquet of the year! It was breathtaking (literally. I think I stopped breathing when I saw it.) and the centerpieces did not play second fiddle. The deep red florals matched perfectly to Rachel’s red lip and bridesmaids dresses. The orchids were the size of my palm and flowers were dripping from the receptions chandelier and adorned the altar. ZuZu’s petals never ceases to amaze me!!

After a beautiful “first look” we took some amazing shots of Rachel and Dave at the most ideal time of day. Rachel planned to have her dream twinkle-light-lit wedding, so we had some time to kill to do their bridal party portraits! I was so nervous about shooting my first night-time ceremony.. but after seeing the light we got to take advantage of during this time before the ceremony-it was definitely worth it!

The reception had the sweetest s’more station that was the paired well with the chilly evening. Pie was served, everyone got down and fun was had by all! Cascading bouquets, fur coats, a twinkle light ceremony and pie for dessert…sounds absolutely perfect to me.

Rachel & Nye {A Justice Wedding}

This stunning wedding took place in Georgetown, TX at a beautiful event venue, Gabriel Springs {link}. We also had a chance to work with Ashley Bunch {link} with “A Bunch of Weddings” who was a fabulous planner and so much fun to work with.

From start to finish, this couple was a blast to work with and there was so much love in the room, it was easy to get the warm-and-fuzzies.

It was fun being able to capture a “first” for me…Rachel and her father shared a special dance, all alone, moments before the ceremony. It was such a beautiful moment, I will admit that I cried just about the whole three minutes {and I am only admitting this because I was caught, ha!} and it was a wonderful surprise for Rachel before being handed off to her husband. The day was pure bliss and almost as beautiful as their children {seriously, the flower girl was the sweetest thing!}. And here is a sneak peak of their special day.
