Derry and Jernej tied the knot at Mercury hall on a beautiful Sunday in May! We started off at Denny’s mothers house, right in the heart of downtown Austin. Her mom is an amazing artist whose house was SO amazing, and totally “Austin”. She had a precious “first look” with her dad among the bamboo in the back yard, and before we knew it, we were off to Mercury Hall where TWO THOUSAND hand folded paper cranes adorned the space. From the bridesmaids updo’s to the ceremony space, cranes were everywhere! I love that these two traded in the traditional flowers on the tables and put the little tiny masterpieces in glass vases with twinkle lights. It was perfect for this dynamic duo! Jernej’s family made the trek all the way from Europe and brought the coolest traditions with them…After the toasts, they brought out this huge “just married” sheet with a heart. They had to cut the heart out and walk through to toast to their future, and it was so much fun to see! Shout out to DJ Aaron Ward for keeping the party lit (am I too old for that term?), he killed it! Check out the amazing vendors and their wedding recap below:
