This wedding was the perfect way to finish 2015! Olivia and Andrew’s winter themed day could not have come together any more beautifully! The pinecones, the twinkle lights, Christmas trees and mistletoe…
The day started at their Cathedral Oaks Event Center and the venue was completely transformed into a dreamy winter wonderland! With the help of an amazing coordinator and florist, the room just portrayed the perfect cozy and romantic vibe. The clock that sat at the newlyweds table happens to be a family heirloom that hasn’t worked in decades. Apparently the night before at the rehearsal dinner, it started chiming! They brought in so many other family details (such as the awesome beer steins!)and as an antique lover myself, I really appreciated it! Foxes were a HUGE part of their wedding day- from the grooms socks to their cake toppers. As a photographer, I love having things like that to photograph, it really tells part of the story and most often, makes your images cohesive.
We headed over to the church where Olivia put on her dress, did a first look with her dad and prepared to walk down the isle. The ceremony had dozens of poinsettias that lined the stairs and you guessed it- endless amounts of candles, trees and christmas lights! Their ceremony was gorgeous (and their programs were hilarious!) and the way the light hit the stage was the cherry on top!
We came back to the Cathedral Oaks for their portraits and to finish out the evening! They had a killer cocktail hour with a bloody Mary bar, of course and the guests name tags were sweetly tied to a horseshoe. They had a great slideshow that played during dinner and their cake was probably my favorite this year (I love a naked cake!). I could obviously go on and on about the details but if you are looking for few ideas for your special day, here are a few…
