The Terrace Club is one of our favorite venues in Austin. Not only is the bridal suite huge with amazing light but all of the staff there are amazing. We couldn’t have been happier to photograph Lindsey and Chris’s wedding there on this amazing spring day. Lindsey and Chris’s simply elegant decor with their relaxed personalities lent this wedding to be one we knew we had to share from the first click of our camera. They had some personal touches throughout the day that did NOT go unnoticed! Decorated fortune cookies made for the perfect wedding favors seeing as these two had their first date at a Chinese restaurant. Chris proposed with a fortune cookie as well, so it was only fitting that Lindsey gave him a fortune cookie to open with a sweet message right before the ceremony.
They also had feather charms tied to the favors that symbolized their loved ones. I have a personal connection to birds and find peace and comfort in feathers whenever I find them, which will always be times of when I need a smile the most. It never fails when I am having a hard day or feeling down, that a cardinal will visit me on a walk or will be sitting outside my bedroom window! The same thing happened to Chris the morning of his wedding, finding feathers at the exact moment of talking about loved ones with his groomsmen.
Lindsey’s dad created all of the wedding games and they were AWESOME! A giant version of Kirplunk was my absolute favorite, and Travis used it as a prop for the bouquet. Jinga and tic-tac-toe were also popular games during the cocktail hour, keeping all the guests occupied while we did their portraits!
Lindseys look was absolutely timeless (and she created her dress using THREE separate pieces), and Chris is a lucky man! Thanks to the vendors below, this day was picture perfect….
